Another opportunity at Santander Universities with open enrollment. This time, the opportunities are for 1,000 scholarships at the University of Cambridge, UK, for a 100% online course on sustainability. The good news is that it is not necessary to speak English or Spanish to participate.
The “Green Transition” program has an international focus, lasts for six weeks and is offered by Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education, the university’s Business School. The institution is one of the top ten in the world in the area of ”business and management studies” by the QS Ranking of best universities by subject.
About the Green Transition program
According to Santander Universities, the objective of the program is to provide “a global view of environmental problems and challenges, addressing topics such as the loss of biodiversity, deforestation, renewable energy, circular economy and, also, showing what are the necessary leadership skills to carry out the necessary energy transition”.
Scholarships cover 100% of program costs. People over 18 years of age, fluent in Portuguese, English or Spanish and residing in one of these countries can apply: Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Spain, United States, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom United Kingdom or Uruguay. No prior training is required to participate.
Schedule
During the six weeks of the course, the program demands a study load of four to five hours per week. Upon completing the programme, students who complete the course will receive a Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education Certificate of Completion.
week 1:
Orientation and familiarization with the learning platform, featured pre-readings and clarification of the program objectives.
week 2:
Major environmental and sustainability challenges: will address an up-to-date understanding of environmental and sustainability issues around the world, such as climate change, loss of biodiversity, deforestation, renewable energy.
week 3:
Sustainability impact and how environmental concerns are affecting markets and organizations. It will be presented how financial markets are responding to environmental and social pressures and how companies are incorporating environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
week 4:
Tools to lead organizational change and help the green transition happen. Systems thinking, change management, strategic ambidexterity, case studies from a range of real-life examples.
week 5:
How to prepare to play your own role in the green transition. Ways of seeing, thinking, managing and behaving, as well as practical tools that can be used for personal development.
week 6:
Closing session. Participants will complete the program by producing a personal and work-related action plan.
