The president of Sinal (National Union of Employees of the Central Bank), Fábio Faiad, said today to Broadcast (Grupo Estado’s real-time news system) that the category meets on Friday (29), at 2 pm, to define the course of the strike, which was suspended last week between April 20 and May 2.
According to Faiad, so far, there has been no signal from the government on the analysis of the counter-proposal made by the category for the salary adjustment claimed for this year or even on a new proposal.
The union leader says that the category evaluates the 5% increase studied by the government as insufficient and proposed that the requested adjustment of 27% take effect from July, and no longer be retroactive to January 2022. “If there is nothing by Friday, fair, we decide to continue the strike.”
Even if the strike is suspended until the 2nd, Faiad explains that the assembly needs to take place before, as it is necessary to notify the administration of the organ about a possible return of the strike 72 hours in advance.
