At a time when the North American manufacturer is still in the process of producing the 24 units of the coupé, behold, Hennessey Special Vehicles is already preparing a new variant of the hypersport candidate for the fastest production car in the world, the Venom F5. This time, in the Roadster configuration…
Following what was already the practice with the Venom GT, in which the coupé ended up also giving rise to a Spyder version, Hennessey Special Vehicles is now preparing to repeat the formula with the Venom F5. Announcing the solution found through a teaser that also schedules for August 9, 2022, the presentation of the new variant.
However, everything points to that, with the exception of the removable roof, the Venom F5 Roadster – that’s the name of the model that Hennessey promises to present… – few more changes will present. Keeping, for example, the twin-turbo 6.6-liter ‘Fury’ V8 promising 1,843 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 1,617 Nm of torque, available from 5,000 rpm.

Supporting the V8, a semi-automatic gearbox with a single clutch and seven speeds, with paddles on the steering wheel, which could be an important help for this Roadster to be able to (try) to beat the 427.4 km/h that the Venom GT Spyder hit on March 25, 2016, during a speed attempt at the US Navy Air Force Base, Lemoore.
Moreover, since then, the new Hennessey Venom F5 has sought to gradually approach these numbers, with the aim of hitting the 300 mph barrier, or 482.80 km/h. Being that, the objective hidden behind the numbers, is to surpass the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the 489,24 km/h.

As for prices, and although the manufacturer has not revealed anything, the experience already gathered has taught us, on several occasions, that convertibles are traditionally more expensive than coupés. As such, and if we think that the F5 already has a known price and costs something like 2.1 million dollars, close to two million euros at the current price…
