Caixa Econômica Federal is already paying the April installment of Auxílio Brasil. The value of the benefit is falling into the account of millions of Brazilians from the 14th of this month, when it was announced by Caixa, until the 29th, following the order of the end of the Social Registration Number (NIS).
However, some families are having the benefit blocked. This can happen mainly when the registration in CadÚnico (Cadastro Único) is outdated and/or there is inconsistent information.
See below how to find out and if you find yourself in this situation and check out what to do.
How to find out if Auxílio Brasil has been blocked?
To find out if you have been blocked on Auxílio Brasil is simple. Just access the Caixa Tem app or the program app and check if the benefit is blocked. You can also find out about your situation in person at the CadÚnico sector in your city and by phone.
Before proceeding, make sure your payday has passed. Otherwise, wait your turn. Here is the calendar for the month of April:
Final NIS 1: April 14, 2022; Final NIS 2: April 18, 2022; Final NIS 3: April 19, 2022; Final NIS 4: April 20, 2022; Final NIS 5: April 22, 2022; Final NIS 6: April 25, 2022; Final NIS 7: April 26, 2022; Final NIS 8: April 27, 2022; Final NIS 9: April 28, 2022; Final NIS 0: April 29, 2022.
What to do if Auxílio Brasil is blocked?
The Family Manager must contest the suspension of deposits, proving that all of them are still within the criteria required for the benefit.
To do this, you need to go to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in your municipality, taking:
CPF or Voter Title (RF only); Identification document (of each family member); Proof of residence; Proof of enrollment for children and adolescents (if any).
The request to return to the program will be analyzed by the coordinator of the program, who will have a period of up to 30 days to give you a response.
A cadastral review will be carried out to verify that the CadÚnico data are up to date, in addition to an analysis to confirm that the cadastral information is consistent with other databases, and an eligibility review to know if the family meets the criteria from the program.
How do I get back to Auxílio Brasil?
If you have been blocked, there is no way to ask to be re-approved for the program. In this way, you need to regularize the CadÚnico data (see item above) and wait for the new government screening that takes place every month before the salary is granted.
To check if you have been accepted again, just access the application and enter your CPF and password. On the home screen, tap on the “Amount inquiry” option and see if there are payments to be deposited.
If you still have questions about Auxílio Brasil, you can call the Ministry of Citizenship’s number 121 or 111, Caixa’s Citizen Service Channel.
