O presidente Jair Bolsonaro comemorou nesta quinta-feira, 28, a compra do Twitter pelo bilionário americano Elon Musk. “It changed the mood of Brazil”, said the Chief Executive in a live broadcast on social networks.
By purchasing the platform for $44 billion, Musk said his priority would be to “increase the limits of freedom of expression” on the social network. The initiative was celebrated by Bolsonaristas, who criticize the limits imposed on Twitter on the sharing of fake news.
De acordo com Bolsonaro, perfis de direita no Twitter ganharam maior número de seguidores após a compra por Elon Musk porque os algoritmos teriam respondido à aquisição. The president did not provide evidence on the statement.
Economy
The Chief Executive once again pointed to the price of fuel and food, in addition to the scarcity of fertilizers, as problems in Brazil. “There are few problems, but they are serious,” he declared on Live. “God willing, we will soon have our fertilizers here, or an alternative like rock dust and potassium from algae,” he added. This week, the president said that ships with Russian fertilizers are on their way to Brazil.
Bolsonaro also reinforced that he would like new oil refineries to be built in the country, as a way of reducing imports in dollars and, consequently, the price of gasoline at the end of the line.
