The day started early in Monaco, with free practice for the E-Prix in the principality. After the presentation of Gen3 on Thursday, teams and drivers returned to focus on the present and the Monegasque race.
In the first free practice session Nyck de Vries (Mercedes) was the fastest of the session with a time of 1:31.154, followed by Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing), and Edoardo Mortara (Venturi), with António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah) take fourth place. In the second training session the Portuguese was the fastest and had the best time of the day so far. With a time of 1:30.435, Félix da Costa was ahead of Mitch Evans (Jaguar) and Robin Frijns (Envision Racing).
