Sergio Pérez didn’t hide his confidence when challenged to look ahead to Red Bull’s momentum and what might come. The Austrian team has had an up-and-down start to the season, with reliability being the biggest problem for now, but despite that the team managed to make a competitive car, capable of putting the foot down to Ferrari.
Pérez believes this could be the start of a new era in F1, in which Red Bull will dominate:
“We still have a lot of problems to solve, but the main thing is that we are competitive and Red Bull should dominate the next few years with these new regulations. We must lead both the Drivers and Constructor titles”, declared Perez. “It has been a difficult start but the team has been working hard to keep up with Ferrari. We are at a time when we have to continue the attack and we are in the fight. The weekend at Imola was important, and the easiest thing to do was to make a mistake, as happened with other riders”.
