The State University of New York (SUNY), in the United States, is accepting applications for scholarships for short-term courses in the classes of 2023 or 2024. The grants are 60% of the value of the programs, which are in the areas of strategy, finance, project management, marketing and sustainability.
The grants are the result of a partnership between SUNY and IBS Americas. The target audience is undergraduate and graduate students and young professionals who wish to undertake international training and delve into the business world.
Programs cost from $6,180 to $8,400. With the 60% scholarships, the amounts go up to US$2,472 and US$3,360.
About SUNY courses
Lasting three weeks, courses are offered in January or July. Classes offer field experiences with guided company visits in the region and focus on providing students with new perspectives, tools and skills from the business world.
Classes are held full-time, Monday through Thursday. In addition to classroom content, the program has guided visits to companies and a technical visit to the UN headquarters in Manhattan, whose objective is to show the daily life of the North American corporate world, in addition to allowing students to expand their professional network.
Classes are made up of students of multiple nationalities, which allows students to get in touch with professionals with different experiences and worldviews and build global networking.

Business English (Business English)
The aim of the Business English course is to improve the professional’s confidence and fluency in business contexts. Students may have a basic or intermediate level to enter the program. More information about the course at this link (available here).

How to apply for scholarships
To apply for the 60% scholarships, students must enter the SUNY website (available here), select the course they wish to take, and fill out the application form by entering the promo code STUDY-FORA-60. Students who win the scholarships will receive US visa documentation assistance and support for academic and logistical preparation.
According to the IBS Americas press office, “Based on the form sent, the team responsible for the selection process in Brazil will return with the result of the candidacy, by email or telephone, within two weeks”.
