Hyundai has just released a new special and limited edition of its i30 N, called Drive-N, whose sale should also reach Europe. But beware: certainly in small numbers, as no more than 800 units will be produced!
Available only and only with the five-door body (the Fastback is left out…), this new limited edition of what is the most radical and exciting element of the i30 family stands out, to begin with, by the application of some details inspired by those which have been the most chosen options by ‘N’ customers. And, to accompany, the interested party can choose, as an exterior color, between a Black Phantom or a Pearl White Serenity, invariably combined with 19″ alloy wheels with a matte dark bronze finish.
Along with these choices, red and bronze appliqués on the underbody, in addition to specific badges applied to the front fenders, displaying the GPS coordinates of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, where all Hyundai N’s are developed and refined.

Moving on to the passenger compartment, we highlight the presence of a numbered plate that confirms the limited nature of this edition, and which also has Alcantara upholstery with red stitching, also on the steering wheel, gearbox lever, armrest and handbrake. This is also the color of the seat belts and the ‘N’ buttons, in an environment where there is not even a set of exclusive mats and a new ‘N Light’ pattern for the seats.

Finally, this Hyundai’s standard equipment also includes an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, glass roof, rear reinforcement bars, as well as the well-known ADAS driving and safety aids system.
However, the powertrain and mechanical solutions remain untouched, with this i30 N Drive-N maintaining the well-known four-cylinder T-GDI 2.0 turbo delivering 280 hp and 391 Nm of torque, which can be combined with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Both sending power, only and only, to the front wheels.
The i30 N Drive-N even has a numbered plate, demonstrating the exceptional character of this version.
Also present, all the technologies capable of promoting greater efficiency, fun and ease of driving, such as the N Grin Shift functions, which allow you to enjoy the maximum capacity of the engine, even if for no more than 20 seconds; N Power Shift, a way to send maximum torque to the wheels; and N Track Sense Shift, in which the car itself decides that the road conditions are the best for a more aggressive driving, automatically jumping into action. Namely, choosing the ideal cash ratio for the moment, but also promoting tickets at the most suitable moments.
There will only be 800… for the world
As Hyundai also reveals, production of this i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition has already started, and of the promised 800 units, 620 will be destined for European markets. Seventy-five of which will be shipped to the UK.

As for the remaining 180 cars, they will be shipped to Australia, a country where the hot-hatch market continues to grow.
Although the South Korean brand has not advanced anything on prices, Hyundai Australia has already mentioned that this limited edition i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition will be priced only slightly higher than the top version of the standard i30 N. Synonymous with and in the specific case of Portugal, just over 46 thousand euros.
