The PT leadership has agreed with ex-governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) his participation in the campaign of ex-president Lula and wants the former adversary to help rebuild bridges with segments considered important in the economy.
The idea is that, shortly after Lula’s pre-candidacy is made official next Saturday (7th), Alckmin will have meetings with representatives of agribusiness, the automotive sector and also medical entities. The information was released on the podcast O Radar das Eleções, which brings more details of the event on the 7th.
Alckmin’s objective is to seek out the business community, according to a PT member, is to “rebuild relationships based on a concrete work agenda with industry leaders.”
Alckmin will also be scheduled for some trips around the country, starting with São Paulo, a state he ruled from 2001 to 2006 and then from 2010 to 2018. Next Thursday (5), alongside Lula, the former toucan will participate in a schedule in Campinas.
PTs promise big mobilizations
PT members heard by the column minimized the low audience present in the May 1st acts and evaluated that “for the conjuncture that the union movement lives, it was a bigger act than previous ones”.
Furthermore, in the opinion of a PT member, it is unreasonable to compare the Labor Day festivities with the pre-campaign, much less with the campaign. In the words of a big PT “you can expect moments of great mobilizations”.
