The 50th anniversary of the Fuso Canter in Portugal is marked by the launch of a special edition of this model, which is based on the latest generation of this model and is now also available in our country in more than 60 versions.
Mitsubishi Motors de Portugal will mark half a century of selling the Fuso Canter in the national market with a special series called “Canter 50 Years – Special Edition”.
The silver gray paintwork, 50 Years logos and black nappa seats with embroidered Canter logo are the main distinguishing elements of the “Canter 50 Years – Special Edition”, which is already based on the latest generation of this model, which has just been launched. in the national market.
Fuso Canter Standard
Keeping the cabin structure, as well as the main mechanical components, the new Fuso Canter is distinguished by the brand’s new front design, inspired by a black belt, as well as the optical groups with LED daytime running lights and halogen lights. As an option, Full LED headlamps and LED fiber daytime running lights are available.
The perceived quality was also improved, both on the outside and on the inside, while soundproofing also registered a positive evolution with a new lower floor covering in the cabin and the use of foam, with a positive impact on thermal efficiency and comfort.
New narrow cabin variant
The range available in Portugal consists of more than 60 versions, articulated between five gross weights (3500 kg, 6000 kg, 6500 km, 7490 kg and 8550 kg), six wheelbases (2500 mm, 2800 mm, 3400 mm, 3,850mm, 4,300mm and 4,750mm), three types of cab (Narrow, Wide and Dual), two transmissions (five-speed manual or six-speed automated), two types of traction (4×2 and 4×4) and three diesel engines (130 hp, 150 hp and 175 hp).

In the new generation, one of the novelties is the introduction of the new narrow cab variant with a gross weight of 3500 kg and a wheelbase of 3400 mm (up to now the maximum was 2800 mm), expanding the spectrum of use within the 3,500 segment. kg with an extra dose of volume and agility provided by the reduced cabin width.
Equipment
As far as equipment is concerned, all versions come standard with ISS (Start-stop System), ESP, ABS with EBD, central locking with remote control, fog lights, on-board computer, driver’s seat with suspension, CD/mp3 radio with Bluetooth, to which the light sensor is added in this new generation. Heavy versions also get the automatic braking system (AEBS) and Lane Departure Alert (LDW).
