The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), announced today a measure that institutes a program aimed at the insertion and maintenance of women and young people in the labor market. At an event held at Palácio do Planalto, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, José Carlos Oliveira, said that the current administration was responsible for delivering “the greatest policies” aimed mainly at victims of domestic violence.
“It is necessary to invest in the training of women so that they can fight on an equal footing with men in the labor market”, said the minister, who recognizes that the measures can yield electoral results to Bolsonaro.
The measures are part of a series of projects that the government should launch in the labor area as a weapon in the attempt to re-election. The idea is to take advantage of the Labor Day celebrations, celebrated on May 1st. The theme is one of the flags of former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), Bolsonaro’s main opponent.
