Celebrating 50 years of existence, BMW M is preparing to attend the upcoming 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed as one of the main guests of honor. Which is why BMW’s racing division has already announced its intention to present a new M proposal during the event, about which little is known, but about which a lot is already said…
Scheduled for next June, more precisely from the 23rd to the 26th of June, the 2022 edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, or, in Portuguese, Goodwood Festival of Speed, thus promises increased interest. Starting with the BMW M, which, celebrating half a century of existence, promises important news!
Even chosen to embody the traditional sculpture that, in each of the festival’s editions, honors a prominent automotive brand, BMW’s competition and performance division has, moreover, already defined the way it promises to mark this year’s festival – nothing more, nothing less, than through the presentation of a new proposal M.
There will be several historic BMW M models to be present at Goodwood. But not only…
“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate our products, together with the brand’s fans,” BMW M CEO Frank van Meel said of the “choice” of Goodwood. . Adding that, “I’m particularly looking forward to revealing a certain vehicle to the public for the first time – a vehicle we’ve been waiting for for a long time.”
Could it be… the M2?
Although without revealing much more about this proposal, the truth is that there are already several hypotheses that are beginning to be suggested in the world press, among which, for example, the new M2 – a model in which, it is no longer a secret, the division M has been working, with the latest news pointing to the sports car entering production at the end of 2022 at the San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico.
