On the eve of the analysis of the Eletrobras privatization process at the Federal Audit Court (TCU), the Minister of Mines and Energy, Adolfo Sachsida, meets with ministers of the supervisory body to address the issue. The outcome of the trial is awaited by the government, which sees the possibility of carrying out the operation by August this year.
In the morning of this Monday, Sachsida met with the minister Augusto Sherman.
In the afternoon, meetings are scheduled with ministers Benjamin Zymler, by videoconference, and Aroldo Cedraz, rapporteur of the process.
The resumption of the discussion is scheduled for the session on Wednesday, 18.
The judgment of the second stage of analysis of privatization in the plenary of the TCU began on April 20, with the presentation of the vote by the rapporteur, Minister Aroldo Cedraz. However, it was postponed after Minister Vital do Rêgo submitted an application for a visa, for 20 days.
In early April, the government team also launched an offensive in the offices of TCU ministers to defend the privatization of the company, but was unable to reverse the postponement of the decision.
