SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Singapore-based multinational provider of technology services and virtual mobile networks (MVNO) Plintron announced on Thursday that it won an arbitration process requested by Brazilian company Surf Telecom, a client of the company.
“The arbitrator ordered Surf Telecom to pay all outstanding invoices, as well as interest and damages applicable to Surf Telecom’s breach of the master services agreement,” Plintron said in a statement without detailing amounts.
The case stems from a request for arbitration in which Surf Telecom claimed that Plintron had ceased to provide services to the company, “resulting in damage to its customers and its reputation”, the Singapore-based company said in the statement. Plintron, on the other hand, stated that there was a lack of payment and wrongful termination of the contract.
Surf Telecom provides a platform for companies interested in having a mobile phone operator with their brand. Plinton claims to have a presence in more than 28 countries, with 150 million users.
