With an increase of 3.27%, quoted at R$ 11.69, the shares of the aircraft manufacturer Embraer (EMBR3) are one of the high highlights of the first half of this Tuesday’s trading session (21).
The rise, according to Regis Chinchila, an analyst at Terra Investimentos, is a reaction to the news that the Dutch defense ministry confirmed the purchase of five C-390M cargo planes manufactured by the company, with a total value estimated at 1 billion euros. According to the Dutch government, the first aircraft should be delivered in 2026. See if it’s worth investing in the company below, in the exclusive content for subscribers.

Embraer also announced, on Sunday (19), during the Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), that it is negotiating the sale of E2 family aircraft with companies in North America, Asia and Europe. According to Arjan Meijer, president of Embraer Commercial Aviation, the company plans to deliver between 60 and 70 commercial jets this year. This is good news, as the company has been delivering 50 aircraft a year since the beginning of the pandemic.
And is it worth buying Embraer?
Mirae Asset says yes and bets on an appreciation of up to R$22.78. BTG also bets on a purchase, but emphasizes that the investment in Embraer shares is subject to exchange rate risk, since the company’s sales are international. In other words: if the dollar rises, it is good for the company (and vice versa). XP also recommends purchase, betting on the recovery of commercial aviation worldwide.
