After a day of relief, the commercial dollar rose again today, closing up 0.45%, quoted at R$5.177. The Ibovespa, the main index of the B3, São Paulo Stock Exchange, fell, ending the trading session with a decline of 0.16%, at 99,522.32 points.
In the morning, the US currency oscillated between stability and a slight fall, but ended the day higher, influenced mainly by the declaration of Jerome Powell, chair of the Federal Reserve, the American Central Bank, about the commitment to fight inflation.
In weekly variation, the dollar rose 0.64% and monthly, 8.93%. In annual variation, it fell by 7.15%.
The value of the dollar published daily by the press, including the UOL, refers to the commercial dollar. For those who are going to travel and need to buy currency at exchange brokers, the value is much higher.

The stock exchange closed the fourth consecutive day below 100 thousand points and closed the trading session at 99,522.32 points, a drop of 0.16%.
The stock exchange’s performance was negative in all scenarios. In the weekly variation, it fell 0.30%, in the monthly, 10.42% and in the annual, 5.06%.
The shares with the highest increases were the Méliuz cashbak system (CASH3), which rose 8.55%, while the negative highlight was the reinsurer IRB Brasil (IRBR3), which plummeted 10.95%.
