Kalle Rovanperä/Jonne Halttunen (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) were the fastest in the Safari Rally shakedown, ahead of Thierry Neuville/Martijn Wydaeghe (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) and Sébastien Loeb/Isabelle Galmiche (Ford Puma Rally1) with the driver at make their first Safari appearance since 2002.Ott Tänak/Martin Järveoja (Hyundai i20 N Rally1), did the same time as Loeb.
Half a second separated the top two, Loeb and Tanak were 1.8s ahead. Three teams in the first four places. Sébastien Ogier/Benjamin Veillas (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) and Takamoto Katsuta/Aaron Johnston (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) followed.
