Appointed to the post by President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in 2019, Pedro Guimarães resigned yesterday, after allegations of sexual harassment by female employees against him were reported by the press.
Yesterday, in an interview with Educadora de Piracicaba radio, Lula said he was neither a prosecutor nor a police officer to comment on the case of the former president of Caixa.
According to Metrópoles, the speech against Lula took place during a meeting at the end of 2021 after Guimarães insinuated that some executives were working against him and the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government.
Also according to the website, Pedro Guimarães was nervous because the board approved an internal change that limited Guimarães’ appointment to boards of Caixa itself and of companies in which the bank has a stake.
