Mercedes-Benz Trucks Portugal announces the appointment of António Louro to the position of general manager to replace António Cabrita Martins, who ends his career at the Daimler Group.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks Portugal has, since July 1st, a new general manager, António Louro, who replaces António Cabrita Martins, thus ending his career at the Daimler Group, where he had been since 1988.
The new head of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Portugal joined the Daimler Group in 1997 and until now was the Area Director for Customer Service & Parts.
António Louro has a deep knowledge of the business, having previously held the roles of commercial vehicle marketing manager, truck sales manager and, in the last five years, in the Customer Services & Parts area.
Daimler Truck. Growth as an independent company
António Cabrita Martins started his activity at the former GD in March 1988. With the foundation of Mercedes-Benz Portugal, in 1989, he developed his career in the leadership of commercial vehicles through various executive functions, where he led relevant projects for the consolidation of the business on the market.
The last one was the creation of Mercedes-Benz Trucks Portugal as an independent entity dedicated to the distribution, marketing, sales and after-sales of trucks and buses of the Mercedes-Benz brands. Unimog and Setra.
The company remained in the same premises, located in Abrunheira, and has four dealerships and 19 service points in mainland Portugal, the Azores and Madeira.
