The average prices of diesel, gasoline and ethanol fell in the country, according to a new survey by the ANP (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis) for the week of June 26 to July 2.
The decrease in values occurs after President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) sanctioned on July 23 the project that limits the collection of ICMS (Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services) on fuel to approximately 17%. The text had been approved by the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies on June 15th. Some states, such as São Paulo, have already adopted the new measure.
Diesel fell from R$7,568, registered last week, to R$7,554 in the week of June 26 to July 2. The total retreat was BRL 0.014. Last week, the price of a liter of this fuel surpassed the price charged for gasoline for the first time since 2004, in reaction to the rise in international fuel prices, which made Petrobras readjust diesel by 14.2% and gasoline by 14.2%. 5.2% on June 18th.
The minimum price charged for diesel was R$6,190 in Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo, while the maximum recorded was R$8,990 in Maceió.
Regular gasoline also recorded a drop in the average price at gas stations in the country and went from R$ 7,390 to R$ 7,127 this week. The retreat was R$ 0.263 for the consumer’s pocket. The lowest price recorded for this fuel was R$ 5,580 in the municipality of Matão, in the interior of São Paulo, while the highest value was R$ 8,890 in the capital of São Paulo.
Already hydrated ethanol went from R$ 4,873, registered between the 19th and 25th of June, to R$ 4,723 a liter in the week. The price of ethanol had already fallen in 16 states in the last week.
For ethanol, the minimum amount charged was R$3,690 in Várzea Grande, Mato Grosso. The maximum price charged for this fuel was R$ 7,890, in Bagé, Rio Grande do Sul.
