Nominated for the presidency of Caixa, Daniella Marques chose another woman to be her right-hand man. The chosen one is the lawyer Danielle Calazans, current secretary of Corporate Management at the Ministry of Economy and with more than 15 years of work as a servant of Caixa.
The two are already working together in drawing up an action plan to manage the crisis at the bank with the departure of Pedro Guimarães, the target of allegations of sexual and moral harassment.
They have known each other since the transition of government, when Danielle Calazans participated in the work of merging five ministries to form the Ministry of Economy.
For the presidency, the name of Daniella Marques was approved this Friday, 1st, by Caixa’s eligibility committee. She had a meeting with the chairman of the board of directors, Rogerio Rodrigues Bimbi, to agree on the next steps. She will take office on Tuesday the 5th.
The departure of the vice president of wholesale, Celso Leonardo Barbosa, hit by the scandal is taken for granted. In addition to him, other directors of the bank will be changed to form a new team.
