In Belarus, a trial was held in the case of arson of the car of the head of the regional traffic police. The incident occurred on the night of January 23-24 in the village of Pleschenitsy, Minsk region. The 31-year-old man was dissatisfied with the fact that he was deprived of his license for drunk driving.
As he explained in the course of the investigative experiment, on that night he, feeling hostility towards the head of the traffic police of the Logoisk district, asked his neighbor to take him to the gas station. There, a man filled a canister with 2 liters of gasoline.
Returning from his house, he left the canister outside and went up to his apartment to change. After that, he went down for gasoline, reached the Opel Vectra belonging to the head of the traffic police, poured it abundantly from the canister in the area of the left front wheel and set it on fire.
A few days ago, a trial took place in the case of the arsonist. Now five years of deprivation of a driver’s license will turn into a real term in a colony.
