The premiere should take place on June 6, but the first photo of the novelty has already appeared on the Web.
Honda Elevate is the brand’s new urban crossover for emerging markets. At first, the car will be sold in India, but will gradually begin to enter other markets.
Honda still does not say anything about the new product. The official teaser posted on social media only shows a small part of the tailgate with “Elevate” written on it.
The name choice is unusual given the fact that most Honda crossovers use the three-letter abbreviations WR-V, HR-V, ZR-V and CR-V.
According to rumors, the length of the Honda Elevate is between 4.2 and 4.3 m. That is, the car will be longer than the Indonesian WR-V and slightly shorter than the European HR-V.
There is also a rumor (circulated by RushLane) that the new crossover will have a lot in common with the Honda City.
This means that the Honda Elevate could get a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine with 121 hp. and 145 Nm. Torque will be transmitted to the front wheels either through a six-speed manual or through a CVT. Later, a hybrid power plant may also appear.
Honda Elevate will compete with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, as well as Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
The Honda Elevate crossover will go on sale in August.
This new Chery crossover “eats” only 1.3 liters per hundred, and its sales have already begun in Russia – it is officially delivered to us. “Behind the wheel” can now be read in Telegram.
