Granta accounts for about 70 percent of all Ladas sold, the press service of AvtoVAZ reports. In addition to the state employees, the plant now produces only Niva – Travel and the classic Legend. However, in the near future it is planned to increase the production volume of the flagship Lada Vesta NG and equalize it with the assembly rate of the bestseller Granta.
Until the end of this year, AvtoVAZ still intends to assemble 400,000 vehicles, despite “the ongoing sanctions pressure and daily risks with the supply of components,” said company president Maxim Sokolov. Vesta, which is already assembled in two shifts, will help fulfill the plan.
