BMW is recalling its XM supercrossover as it could catch fire. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that this may be due to a poor connection between the exhaust system and the catalytic converter during assembly. Accordingly, the fasteners can become loose, which will lead to a fire.
Fire is the worst-case scenario, but unlikely.
Interestingly, the problem affected only one copy of the crossover. And four X7 M60i.
