Ford removes sixth-generation Mustang from production line

The sixth generation of the “horse” appeared in December 2013, and its mass production began in 2014. It was in this version that the model became global: it was even going to be officially delivered to Russia, but the plans were not destined to come true. Now we can meet specimens imported by parallel import. Prices for muscle cars with a mileage of about 8,000 km start at 6,000,000 rubles. Moreover, if the odometer shows about 60,000 km, the price drops to 3,000,000 rubles.
Interestingly, the popularity of cars in the home market has been steadily declining since 2016. The Ford legend has been overtaken by the Dodge Challenger coupe lately, and no change in trend is in sight.
Against this sour background, the plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, is beginning to set up equipment for assembling the seventh generation of the model. Fresh Mustang has a 2.3-liter “four” and a five-liter V8. Marketers call them completely new, but bloggers found out that these are still old units, although modified. And judging by the fact that the position of the car, even in the United States, is unimportant, suppose that in a couple of years the “horse” will finally be “shot”, that is, removed from production.
