BORN FROM A WHITE LEAF – The Ford heralds a new generation of Tourneo Courierthe rival of Citroën Berlingo, Fiat Doblò which will arrive on the roads within end of 2023 with the heat engine and in the second half of 2024 also in a pure electric version, called E-Tourneo Courier. The aim of the designers, who started from a blank sheet, was to combine style, space and practicality in a compact and easy to handle vehicle. With SUV-inspired styling, a full-width light bar across the front, and a boot that’s 44% roomier than its predecessor, the new Ford Tourneo Courier aims to be as pleasing to the eye as it is very practical.
OPTIMIZED SPACES – Carrying 5 adults and their luggage in total comfort was one of the new requirements Ford Tourneo Courier. The spaces on board have been optimized and promise to be more comfortable for passengers thanks to different areas for storing objects. These include a configurable center console and a 44-litre front trunk for the electric version E-Tourneo Courier. The “digiboard” dashboard characterizes the on-board experience: it consists of a completely digital instrument panel and the SYNC 4 multimedia system controlled by the 12-inch touch screen. There is no shortage of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the wireless charger and over-the-air software updates.
FAST RECHARGE – The new Ford Tourneo Courierwill be produced in Craiova in Romania, is available with a well-known 3-cylinder engine 1.0 turbo and 125 CVwith a manual or robotised 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, or with an engine 136hp electric which equips the E-Tourneo Courier. Ford has not communicated the size of the battery or the expected range, however we know that the multispace can be recharged in 11 kW stations in alternating current or fino and 100 kW in direct current, thanks to which it is possible to obtain 87 km of autonomy in 10 minutes. With overnight charging from a wallbox, made easier by the ability to plan charging times via the app, going from 10 to 100% charge will take less than 6 hours.
