The production of LADA Vesta NG started back in March, but before opening sales, Togliatti decided to fill up car dealerships, so it will be possible to purchase a refreshed flagship model only in a few weeks. The exact launch date has not yet been announced, as well as prices: AVTOVAZ will publish full price lists and descriptions of trim levels later.
However, it is curious that the Volga residents strictly forbade their representatives to inflate prices. And with those who continue to “breed” buyers for money, ignoring the manufacturer, AVTOVAZ will say goodbye by terminating the contract. According to the head of the company Maxim Sokolov, Togliatti residents are deploying the vector of their policy in the field of car sales:
– We have already prepared an appropriate program with a control mechanism, which we will implement in relation to dealers – we set marginal prices. That is, now dealers, having received a car from us at the recommended price, will not be able to sell it above the marginal price, which will also be set by AVTOVAZ. The possibility of applying such a norm gives us the antimonopoly legislation, – said Mr. Sokolov.
At first, only the younger modification will be available for order – with an 8-valve engine and a manual gearbox. Versions with “sixteen-valve” will be put on the conveyor in May. When the 1.8-liter engine will return to the range is still unknown. The timing of the start of serial production of two-pedal cars is not disclosed, although AVTOVAZ has already started testing cars with a CVT.
