In Kabardino-Balkaria, the police detained a man who, according to a source, transported over 40 tons of alcohol in a tanker.
The truck of a 59-year-old resident of the village of Nartan was stopped at the 39th kilometer of the Prokhladny-Elkhotovo highway in order to check operational information. A cache filled with a clear, colorless liquid was reportedly found inside the tanker semi-trailer.

The driver had no documents for this cargo and said that he bought it from a stranger in the neighboring region. The examination showed that this is rectified ethyl alcohol with a volume of over 40 tons and a cost of more than 2.6 million rubles.
Note that the design of the described cache raises questions. the figure of 40 tons is close to the maximum load capacity of a tractor carrying large tanks. And in the published photo around the neck (it seems that this is just a standard tank filler hole), spills of black oily liquid are visible.
Be that as it may, a criminal case was initiated against the man on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “b” of Part 2 of Art. 171. 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A measure of restraint was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
