In Russia, the eight-cylinder engine of the 60s is being modernized

The ZMZ 523/524 motor, which was built on the basis of the ZMZ-53 unit, which appeared in 1963, will be modernized. The 4.7-liter engine develops from 124 to 138 horsepower in gasoline and dual-fuel versions, respectively.
The engine is used on medium-duty trucks and buses of the middle class. Its production was resumed at the end of last year as part of the import substitution program.
