In Russia, the number of commercial vehicle dealers is falling, and here’s why

The main reason for the change is the disappearance of Western brands. The largest number of LCV dealers worked with Renault: with the departure of the French brand, they became service centers. They also had to adapt to new conditions or close the showrooms of Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, Hyundai and others. Since the beginning of the year in Russia, there have been 30 fewer sales points for Hyundai trucks, 14 fewer for LCV Citroen and 12 for Peugeot and Opel.
Lost brands are being replaced by new ones. Thus, Russian Sollers, GAZ and UAZ, as well as Chinese Foton, are expanding their dealer networks. Avtodom, which has agreed on the supply of Forland trucks, is also going to create its own network.
