Insurers massively sue Hyundai and Kia over spate of thefts

Before getting inside, the thieves had to break the window, often the interior decoration suffered – unless, of course, the door was open. Insurance companies are now demanding reimbursement from Hyundai and Kia, including those spent on repairing cars that are vulnerable to theft.
According to the class action lawsuit, replacing the window and steering wheel after a break-in attempt costs the insurer more than $3,000 (237,000 rubles). It is known that often cars were stolen by teenagers just to ride, while causing damage to public property. In this case, insurance costs rise to 10 thousand dollars (almost 800 thousand rubles).
