A recall campaign for four models has already been announced.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced instrument panel malfunctions for 108,936 2023 Kia vehicles.
On the Kia Soul, Telluride, Niro and Sportage, the 4.2-inch LCD display between the gauges on the instrument panel may dim while driving, which is not allowed by the US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).
Kia has announced that the defect will be fixed free of charge on all machines through a software update. Owners who have already done it for money will be compensated.
