Kia recalls over 100,000 vehicles due to instrument cluster glitches

Due to the occurrence of “glitches” in the software, the 4.2-inch LCD screen integrated into the instrument panel can turn off while the car is moving, depriving the driver of access to a number of on-board indicators.

The problem is typical for Kia Soul, Sportage, Telluride, and Niro models. The recall, which is currently limited to North American customers, affected 108,936 vehicles for the 2023 model year. Dealer center specialists will update the software in the above-mentioned cars for free.

Recall that not so long ago, Koreans recalled Kia Sorento crossovers on the Russian market – the owners of these massive cars complained about unpleasant mechanical shocks when shifting up gears, as well as vibrations when starting from a standstill.
