On board the HILOAD 6×6 there are places for the crew, equipment, water and the unique Coldcut Cobra fire suppression system. With the help of an abrasive suspended in water, it breaks through the battery case and, under a pressure of 300 bar, delivers water inside, which prevents the so-called thermal runaway. Independent tests by the Swedish Emergency Management Agency have shown that the Coldcut Cobra can extinguish a battery in 10 minutes using 240 liters of water – 20 percent of the volume of a HILOAD tank.
