Mercedes-Benz has disabled a number of functions in cars sold on the Russian market

The Germans terminate the Mercedes me ID electronic service in Russia. We are talking about the ability to remotely control a number of functions in the car. In particular, to start the engine through a mobile application in a smartphone, turn on the air conditioning system, monitor the geolocation of the car, and so on.

Earlier, we recall that Mercedes-Benz blocked the supply to the Russian market not only of components, but also of branded smart keys, which actually deprive car owners of the opportunity to use the vehicle in case of loss of the key fob.

But Avtodom, which bought the Russian assets of Mercedes, announced the resumption of supplies of spare parts and accessories. How it will look in practice – we will soon find out.
