The new Cooper Electric will be offered in two versions: the initial Cooper E and Cooper SE. The power plant of the junior hatchback will consist of a 184-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 40.7 kilowatt-hours, which is enough for 300 kilometers. The older Cooper SE will be powered by a 218 horsepower engine and a 54.2 kilowatt-hour battery. The predicted range of such an electric car is 400 kilometers.
