A participant in the criminal scheme “Mom, I got into an accident” received four years in prison. The verdict was issued by the Moscow District Court of the city of Cheboksary. A 24-year-old local resident previously convicted of fraud was found guilty of seven counts of fraud.
The victims of swindlers were residents of Chuvashia aged 60 to 87 years. In just four days, from June 25 to 28 last year, the convict, acting as a courier, took more than 3.5 million rubles from seven elderly citizens.

Then he acted according to the scheme indicated to him: he transferred money to the accounts of a criminal group, leaving himself a certain percentage.
According to the verdict, he will serve his term in a general regime colony, and will also return all the stolen funds to the victims. Unfortunately, there is no information about the other participants in the criminal scheme.
