New energy vehicle (NEV) retail sales increased 85.6 percent in April to surpass half a million units, according to the CPCA. And in January-April, sales increased by 36 percent year-on-year, to 1.84 million units. The report also shows that China exported 91,000 NEVs in April, 10 times more than in April last year and 29.4 percent more than in March.
