Skoda novelties are in the final stage of development, and interesting details have become known.
This fall, Skoda will introduce the new Kodiaq and Superb, which have just completed tests above the Arctic Circle. A video has surfaced online showing a pair of camouflaged prototypes driving down roads surrounded by beautiful Scandinavian landscapes under the Northern Lights.
The 2024 Skoda Superb has smoother body lines. The novelty will be produced in liftback and station wagon bodies. The 2024 Skoda Kodiaq is also less angular, while retaining some signature styling cues.
Skoda engineers tested the chassis, bodies, engines, heating systems and electrical equipment of vehicles at temperatures down to -38°C. Doors, hoods, fuel tank caps open even in such conditions, the testers reported. In addition, the suspension setup, all-wheel drive system and electronic assistants, as well as batteries were checked.
Both models are built on an improved version of the MQB platform. Skoda has confirmed that the cars will get petrol and diesel engines, as well as mild hybrids and plug-in hybrids.
Skoda Kodiaq will be produced in Kvasiny (Czech Republic) and Skoda Superb in Bratislava (Slovakia).
The Fast & Furious free game is a good way to pass the time while waiting for the movie. Titled Fast X: The End of the Road Begins, the game contains scenes from the movie, which will premiere on May 19th. “Behind the wheel” can now be read in Telegram.
