On the “electric train” – around the world – magazine Behind the wheel

The American was going to travel around the world on an electric Ford Explorer.
Famous travel blogger Lexi Alford is going on a brand new battery-powered Explorer to travel around the world. The Expeditionary Explorer has nothing to do with the American one, and is made on the Volkswagen MEB platform (in particular, the Audi Q4 e-tron, Škoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.4/ID.5 are based on it).
Alford has already entered the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest traveler to visit all countries in the world.
For the success of the venture, what matters is not so much the pure power reserve without recharging (it’s still not enough for a round-the-world trip), but rather the efficiency, speed of night charging and the ability to charge from a regular outlet.
At the moment, it is known that the battery of the car will be able to charge from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes, and also that the first Explorers will begin to arrive in Europe in 2024.
The round-the-world trip should start at the end of the year.
