Pininfarina has announced a new 1927-horsepower hypercar

The electric coupe will be a variant of the Battista and is likely to coincide with the five-year anniversary of Automobili Pininfarina. If everything is so, then the car will receive a power plant with a capacity of 1927 horsepower, a battery with a capacity of 120 kilowatt-hours and will be able to accelerate to “hundreds” in 1.86 seconds.
Automobili Pininfarina announced a change in top management. The position of technical director will be taken by Andrea Crespi, the operational one – by Andrea Novello. Both used to work for Maserati, with Crespi joining Pininfarina in 2018, having previously been director of electrical propulsion and high voltage systems. The new team will strengthen the firm’s position and help bring the new model to market.
An electric hypercar will be shown next summer. Such a car was wanted by the customers of the brand, and it is addressed, of course, to collectors. Judging by the teaser, we are talking about another version of the Battista coupe. For example, it could be something like Battista Anniversario, released in the amount of five pieces. The anniversary electric car did not differ from the usual Battista in anything remarkable – only in color and aerodynamic body kit.

The current Battista is equipped with four electric motors with a combined output of 1927 forces and a Rimac traction battery with a capacity of 120 kilowatt-hours. Acceleration from standstill to a hundred in a two-door takes 1.86 seconds, up to 200 – 4.75. These figures are recorded at the Nardo track in Italy, and both are new world records. The maximum speed of “Battista” is 350 kilometers per hour. The cruising range is 476 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle.
It takes an average of 1,250 hours to assemble one instance – and there will be 150 in total. Buyers have access to 128 million interior color and decor combinations, Exterior Jewelery styling and alloy wheels in several designs. The price, of course, is rather big – from 2.2 million euros (199.8 million rubles).
