Musk expects his own self-driving system to be Tesla’s sales driver and provide the “wow factor” that will put the company ahead of the competition. However, investors are now worried that Tesla is cutting prices, delaying the release of new models and adjustments to the Full Self-Driving autopilot software (“fully autonomous driving”, FSD).
Now FSD, which still does not make the electric car fully autonomous, despite the name, costs 15 thousand dollars (1.2 million rubles). This is almost a third of the starting cost of Model Y in the US – 47 thousand (3.8 million rubles).
