The amount of the transaction for the sale of the Russian plant Volkswagen became known

The Volkswagen plant is located in the Grabtsevo industrial park. It has existed since 2007, is designed to produce 225 thousand cars a year, and until the spring of last year, Volkswagen Polo, Tiguan and Skoda Rapid models were assembled there. Also in Kaluga there was a plant for the production of gasoline engines with a capacity of 150 thousand units per year.

The Avilon dealer holding was initially called the most likely candidate for the purchase of Volkswagen’s Russian assets, however, other assumptions were also voiced – for example, that the site could be acquired by the Chinese Chery.
