The Gorky Automobile Plant may present the first production model of a car under the Volga brand at the beginning of next summer, Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said on the sidelines of the Eurasian Congress.
“How it will look, I think, colleagues will soon be able to demonstrate to the market. In terms of timing, this is approximately in a year, taking into account the completion of the procedure for selecting foreign partners, and approximately 9 months after the start of this work, it is required to organize direct production. Therefore, the beginning of next summer, our colleagues are guiding us, by this time we will be able to see the first serial production under the Volga brand.
The facilities created by partners from Western Europe, who left these production facilities today, will be adapted for production, the deputy prime minister said.

True, I think the new Volga will no longer look like the Volga, and we will have to get used to its new look with the usual name.
