The production of military vehicles has increased significantly

The Russian defense industry has increased the production of BMP-3 for the SVO several times.
The third-generation infantry fighting vehicle is produced at Kurganmashzavod, which is part of the High-Precision Systems holding company of the Rostec state corporation. In early May, the enterprise handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense another batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, the production of which increased several times.
“Kurganmashzavod has shipped a new batch of BMP-3s as part of the state defense order. For the first quarter of this year, the company delivered the same amount of infantry fighting vehicles as for the whole of 2019,” Rostec said in a statement.
Production volumes have also doubled at the Volgograd site of Kurganmashzavod, where BMD-2 airborne combat vehicles and BTR-D armored personnel carriers are being overhauled.
“Rostec enterprises have reached an impressive pace in the production of weapons and military equipment. “Kurganmashzavod” ships infantry fighting vehicles almost every month, the volume of deliveries is growing. The staff of the plant has been significantly increased: if last year more than 1,000 people were hired, then in the first quarter of this year – almost 1,200. armaments of the State Corporation Rostec, member of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia Bekhan Ozdoev.
The BMP-3 is equipped with a 100 mm 2A70 gun, a 30 mm 2A72 automatic cannon and machine guns.
