The Russian government approved the sale of the Russian plant Continental

The newspaper clarifies that Continental itself requested approval of the sale of its Russian assets from the US regulator – the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the US Department of Commerce – in order to obtain a re-export license. According to Kommersant, Continental could have considered that the production site in Kaluga contained goods subject to US export controls.
At present, the distributor “Continental Tires Rus” and the Kaluga plant “Continental Kaluga” “continue to operate as usual, fulfilling their obligations to customers, employees and partners in full.” The company produces tires of three brands, Continental, Gislaved and Matador.
