The Voyah Free electric crossover is expensive for a reason. This car is ready to compete on equal terms even with eminent European brands.
While the sales of the Hongqi brand have not been launched on the Russian market, Voyah electric vehicles and hybrids are the most expensive of the “Chinese” officially supplied to us. For the money that they ask for, and today you can take the German “premium”.
The Free comes standard with air suspension. Despite the low-profile 20-inch wheels, the car rides over bumps very comfortably. And absolutely no extraneous sounds and knocks.
Ground clearance varies in the range of approximately 100 mm. So a purely passenger clearance on off-road can be quickly turned into an all-terrain vehicle – above 200 mm.
Four-wheel drive and a completely flat bottom give additional confidence on a bad road.
Voyah looks dynamic and looks more like a regular station wagon. Strange, but the headlights without additional functions.

Two electric motors develop a total of 488 hp. From standstill to 100 km / h, they take the car away in 4.7 seconds. And this is a real indicator. Mercedes-Benz GLE will get ahead of the “Chinese” only if it has an AMG nameplate.
And turns Voyah passes confidently. Pulnuv in a straight line, you do not need to convulsively press on the brakes (excellent, in addition reinforced by recuperation) before the turn.
Nappa? No – eco-leather. You can’t tell without a hint. Not bad and plastic, and artificial leather, not only on the seats.
Unless the elements “under the metal” should be made more believable. Not perfect, but for the last ten years, Audi, BMW and Mercedes, if not in expensive custom trims, have been worse off.
The dashboard is three displays in a row under a single glass. The image changes depending on whether the front console is in the up or down position.
With cool options
The creators of Voyah Free did not stint on equipment. The front seats are not only heated and ventilated, but also a good massager. Panoramic sunroof – without curtain, with ten levels of dimming, which are selected by the driver. This has only ever been seen on a Porsche Taycan.
There is a night vision system that hits beyond the declared 150 m. But the coolest feature is the rising dashboard, the mechanism of which weighs 30 kg. It moves in its entirety, from rack to rack. A bewitching spectacle.
The chairs are comfortable, and the headrests with lateral support are simply chic.
The price of the electric Free is 8.9 million rubles. Hybrids are more affordable – 7.5-8 million rubles. However, their owners will have to pay a transport tax (“electric trains” in Moscow are still exempt from it) for 489 or even 693 forces.
Not so long ago, you could buy a new Mercedes-Benz S-Class or GLS for this money. Now a car from China has taken their place. And I must say that it is worth the money.
