The Russian regiment of Chinese brands has arrived: the Jetour brand (part of the Chery Automobile concern) is being introduced to our market.
Jetour Dashing
Unlike the Omoda or Exeed brands, this “daughter” came without the knowledge of the parent company. In the first half of this year, two crossovers will appear on sale.
Jetour Dashing will be equipped with two engines already familiar from Chery. These are turbo engines 1.5 (147 hp) and 1.6 (197 hp). The first works in tandem with mechanics or a variator, the second with a seven-speed robot.
In terms of dimensions, Dashing is close to the Haval Jolion, Omoda C5 and Geely Coolray models. There are no exact prices yet, but the approximate range is clear: from 2.2 to 2.5 million rubles.
Jetour X90 Plus
At the same time, a large X90 Plus SUV will also be brought in, which will compete with such cars as the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and Haval Dargo.
Price tags will vary from 3 million to 3.5 million rubles, which is also comparable. There are two turbo engines to choose from, 1.6 with a capacity of 197 hp. With. or two-liter at 254 liters. With. The success of the latter, if the power is not reduced to 250 forces, is highly doubtful. Regardless of the engine, there is only one box – a seven-speed preselective robot. Both Jetour crossovers are exclusively front-wheel drive.
The company has big plans. At first, it is planned to open about fifty dealers. Agreements with such major players as Favorit Motors, Klyuchavto, Torgmash and others have already been signed. The factory warranty will be five years or 150,000 km.
Until the end of the year, Jetour plans to bring several more models (all of them are also crossovers). These are the X70 Plus, the DX5 and the rather curious T‑1 SUV, which looks like the current Land Rover Defender.
In total, Jetour wants to sell 15,000 vehicles in 2023. If things go well, then there are plans for local production.
